Admissions Process

International Students and High School Students have different admissions processes.  All other students please follow the steps listed below.

1. Apply for General Admission

2. Log in to MYBRCC

(Call 540-453-2287 for login help)

  • Check your student Gmail
  • View your Student Center “To Do List” for Important Information (Click “SIS” then “Student Center”)

3. File FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)

4. Send Official High School* and College** Transcripts

*High school transcripts not needed if you graduated more than five years ago unless required by your program.  Ask your advisor about program transcript requirements. 

**College transcripts not required from other Virginia Community Colleges.

5. Schedule an Appointment with an Academic Advisor

If you didn’t send transcripts/test scores to BRCC prior to advising appointment, please bring them to your appointment.

6. Register for Classes

Click “Navigate Student” then “Planner”

7. Follow-Up with Financial Aid

  • Check your student Gmail often
  • Check your “To Do List”

8. Pay Tuition

9. Complete the Online Student Orientation
