2. Transfer credits from other schools attended (if applicable)
3. Apply for Graduation.
Please access the Graduation Application from SIS in “My Student Information.” You must apply for graduation before the published deadlines. If you missed your deadline, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
Applications will be available in SIS the following dates.
-Spring Graduation: February 15- April 15
-Summer Graduation: June 15 – August 1
-Fall Graduation: September 25 – December 1
4. Fulfill all obligations to BRCC. Outstanding bills, library books and supplies may cause a hold to be placed on your account. Contact BRCC Financials at email@example.com for help.
5. Complete the Graduation Assessment. If you’ve applied for graduation with an associate’s degree, you’ll need to take a proctored and timed general assessment during your last semester.
Watch for an Email with further instructions on how to access and complete the graduation
assessment. Failure to complete this requirement could incur an Account Hold which will prevent official transcripts being sent. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Your degree, including major and any specialization, will be added to your permanent record and will appear on your transcript after final grades have posted at the end of the semester and after degrees have been conferred. Records will be updated as soon as possible and could take up to four weeks. Students who applied for graduation will be contacted via their college email after all records have been updated. Please request your official transcript after the email notification of your degree conferral and the transcript will include the name of your completed program. Students who have not fulfilled their obligations to BRCC mentioned above or taken the general assessment, will have a hold placed on their record preventing transcripts being sent.
Diplomas are not given to students at the Graduation Ceremony. Diplomas listing your major will be mailed via USPS to the address entered on your graduation application. Diplomas are only
ordered for students who submit a graduation application for the term in which they completed
their degree or certificate. Address changes should be emailed to email@example.com. Diploma orders are sent to Paradigm for processing six weeks after your final semester has ended. Paradigm will then ship diplomas to students via USPS within 10 business days of receiving the order from BRCC. Students will be contacted by Paradigm via their student email account once the diploma has been shipped. Students earning more than one award can expect to receive multiple packages. Please give USPS 4-6 weeks to process your shipment. If you do not receive your diploma in the mail, contact firstname.lastname@example.org so we can submit a reorder that will be included with the next semester’s graduation.
Graduation Ceremonies (Commencement) are held once a year in May to honor graduates who have completed a degree, certificate, or career studies certificate within the academic year. The academic year includes previous summer, previous fall, and spring. Students who have fewer than six (6) credit hours remaining in their program and anticipate completing those requirements in the following summer semester are eligible to participate in the ceremony. Contact email@example.com before the April 15 deadline to be considered.
