A front page story in the August 25, 1966, Daily News-Record of Harrisonburg, Virginia, reported an unpretentious ceremony involving only a dozen or so dedicated Virginians who were assembled to dramatize the fact that something important was happening on an old farm site in northern Augusta County near Weyers Cave. It was the beginning of Blue Ridge Community College, and more than 55 years later, we’re still dedicated to serving our community’s educational and workforce training needs.
Blue Ridge Community College provides comprehensive certificate and associate degree programs, workforce development training, and continuing education courses, designed to meet the educational needs of Virginia’s central Shenandoah Valley.
