How to Apply
Apply for financial aid by completing and submitting the online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the appropriate aid year. Processing will take one to two weeks.
When to Apply
The best time to apply for financial aid is during January or February before the academic year you'll attend. For example, if you'll be attending BRCC in the fall, you'll want to apply by March 15.
Recommended FAFSA Filing Date
March 15 is BRCC’s recommended FAFSA application filing date for awarding aid. Applications received by March 15 will be fully considered for all federal, state, and institutional financial aid. Late applications are accepted but funding is not guaranteed.
If your financial situation changes, you may apply for financial aid after the priority date. Institutional assistance is awarded based on availability of funds.
All other documents requested by the financial aid office should be submitted no later than May 1.
Reapplication Process
Students must reapply for financial aid every year by the recommended FAFSA filing date (March 15). Eligibility for all financial aid awarded through the Office of Student Financial Aid & Scholarships is reviewed annually. The amount of financial aid may vary from year to year, depending on the student's continued demonstrated financial need and all other eligibility requirements.
