Advising

Meet with an Advisor

Advisors are available to meet with students via Zoom and in-person appointments. You can make your appointment through Navigate, located in your MYBRCC. See instructions on how to make an appointment.

Walk-in students are also welcome via the Virtual Zoom Receptionist or in-person at the Welcome Center within the Houff Student Center.

Enroll in a Program

To be considered for any federal or state financial aid programs at BRCC or to qualify for graduation, you must be in an eligible program of study.  Please complete the Program/Plan Change Form below to have the program you need added to your academic record.  If you need assistance choosing an eligible program of study, please meet with your advisor.

Stop by the Transfer Center, Room E112,  to meet with the BRCC transfer advisor and transfer advisors from:

Transfer Program Students

Our College/University Transfer and Science programs let you take your first two years of classes here, earn an associates degree, and transfer to a four year school to work on a bachelor’s degree. Virginia state schools usually prefer students to complete a transferable A.A.&S. or A.S. associate degree instead of transferring course credits for individual courses (Virginia State Policy on College Transfer – PDF requires Adobe Acrobat Reader).

If you are planning to transfer to a four-year school, it is important to meet with both a BRCC advisor and an advisor from your transfer school to make sure you are taking the appropriate classes for both programs.
