Transportation & Logistics

Commercial drivers and logistics workers are in demand in our area: tractor trailer, straight truck, forklift, and logistics operators. The Shenandoah Valley has many transportation and distribution jobs because of the intersection of two interstates and numerous warehouses and manufacturing facilities. Financial assistance may be available for some programs.

Driving and Logistics Training

If you want a career in commercial driving or logistics, we offer a full range of training options.

CDL Learner’s Permit testing is available at the college. BRCC personnel are DMV certified examiners. Final skills testing is provided on-site.

We can also arrange CDL Class B to Class A upgrade courses and employee training with a sponsoring company that provides driving and company job requirements prior to course work. Prior driving and vehicle familiarization is required. Contact the program coordinator, Jim Butler, for details: butlerj@brcc.edu or (540) 453-2218.
