Blue Ridge Community College Art Gallery Statement of Purpose
- The Blue Ridge Community College Art Gallery exists to serve the college community and the community at large through exhibitions that educate, inspire, and encourage independent and creative thinking; and that enrich the cultural and aesthetic experience of our students, faculty, staff, and the general public.
- Criteria for selecting exhibitions include artistic excellence, diversity of aesthetic approaches, nurturing of artists’ creativity and growth, and the educational potential of exhibitions.
- The Art Gallery is a resource for teaching and lifelong learning through exhibitions and programs that enhance curricula as well as engage a greater audience in the visual arts. The Gallery supports BRCC’s mission to provide comprehensive programs and services within an environment of academic excellence.
