When the financial aid office receives a FAFSA, there are a number of items we might be required to request to meet federal, state, or institutional requirements before we can determine your eligibility for financial aid. Some examples of documents we might need to collect include (but are not limited to):
- Federal tax returns for the student, parent, or spouse
- Institutional forms housed on our web site that request a variety of household information
- Documents confirming U.S. citizenship requirements are met
- High school transcripts
The To Do List is located in the SIS Student Center.
- Log in to MyBRCC
- Click the “SIS” tile.
- In SIS, click “Student Center.”
- The To Do List is located on the right side of the Student Center.
Many items can be uploaded right on the To Do List. We also offer a link for Secure Uploads.
Be sure that all signature requirements are met before submitting! Items are listed in bold font on the To Do List until they are received. Once items have been processed, they will be removed from the To Do List. If additional information is needed, you will receive a message in the SIS Message Center.
We will review most items within 7-10 business days unless additional information is required.
What is the SIS Message Center?
When a student logs in to their MyBRCC account, they will see the SIS tile. In SIS, students can navigate to the Student Center, where their financial and enrollment information with the college is stored. At the top of the Student Center, there is a secure inbox where the College will place important communications to students. Whenever a new message is sent to the SIS Message Center, an automatic email is generated to alert the student that a secure message has been sent.
