Pharmacy Technician - National

Pharmacy Technicians are trained to work in pharmacies assisting with both administrative and pharmacy work.  In this class, students will obtain a thorough understanding of the knowledge and skills needed to be a Pharmacy Technician.

About the Program

Under pharmacist supervision, pharmacy technicians: supply medicines to patients, assemble medicines for prescriptions, and provide information to patients and other healthcare professionals.  In this course, you will learn skills to work as a pharmacy technician and prepare for the Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) Exam through National Healthcareer Association (NHA).   NOTE: A working knowledge of Algebra is essential.

  • Algebra strongly recommended
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 by the last day of class
  • Proof of attendance at BRCC Healthcare Orientation Session
