Pharmacy Technicians are trained to work in pharmacies assisting with both administrative and pharmacy work.

Course includes preparation for the Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) Exam through National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

About the Program

This program teaches the basics of pharmacology, laws and regulations, medication safety, quality assurance, compounding, medication order entry and fill process, inventory management and pharmacy billing and reimbursement.

Admission Requirements

  • Algebra strongly recommended
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 by the last day of class
  • Proof of attendance at BRCC Healthcare Orientation Session
