To receive a refund for a Workforce class, students must initiate their refund request based on the start date of their course.
Classes starting 8/14/25 or earlier:
For one-day classes, students must email info@brcc.edu (or call 540.453.0264) 3 business days prior to the start of class. For all other Workforce classes, students must email info@brcc.edu (or call 540.453.0264) before the published drop date for their class (PDF) in order to receive a refund or to be withdrawn without financial penalty from a FastForward funded course.
Classes starting 8/15/25 or later:
For all classes, students must email info@brcc.edu (or call 540.453.0264) at least one week (7 calendar days) prior to the start of the class in order to receive a refund for any class or to be withdrawn without financial penalty from a FastForward funded course.
Refunds requested after listed drop dates are not automatic and must be requested via the Tuition Refund request form and submitted to the Vice President of Finance and Administration who will review the request.
Funds will be returned to the student in the same form used to pay the tuition. Refunds, regardless of type, may take anywhere from seven to ten business days to complete.
