High School Completion Status

Your financial aid application was flagged for conflicting information relative to High School completion. You must provide evidence of your High School completion.

The document must be submitted to the Financial Aid Office to continue the review process and determine your eligibility for federal student aid.

Provide one of the following acceptable documents that indicate your high school completion status as
of the date you will begin classes at Blue Ridge Community College:

  • A copy of your high school diploma
  • A copy of your final high school transcripts that shows the date when the diploma was awarded.
  • A copy of your General Educational Development (GED) certificate or GED transcript showing completion of your GED.
  • An academic transcript that indicates you successfully completed at least a two-year program that is acceptable for full credit toward a bachelor’s degree.
  • If State law requires a homeschooled student to obtain a secondary school completion credential for homeschool (other than high school diploma or its recognized equivalent), a copy of that credential.
  • If State law does not require a homeschooled student to obtain a secondary school completion credential for homeschool (other than a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent), a transcript or the equivalent, signed by your parent or guardian, that lists the secondary school courses you completed and documents the successful completion of a secondary school education in a homeschool setting.
  • If you completed high school in a foreign country and cannot obtain a copy of your high school diploma or transcript, a copy of your “secondary school leaving certificate”.

** If you are unable to obtain any of the items listed above, you must contact the Financial Aid Office**
