Message from the President
Another academic year has begun on the campus of Blue Ridge Community College and I continue to reflect, with awe, on the impact our programs and services have on the community and region that we serve. In September, I was privileged to host my 17th Community Breakfast Series speech, where I highlighted my new grandson, Theo. I spoke about the College from his perspective, not even yet a year old, but already impacted by the many professions our programs produce in the Shenandoah Valley and across the Commonwealth. From Aviation Maintenance to Registered Nursing, from Accounting to Veterinary Technology, our many graduates of these and similar programs serve in a significant portion of the professions that Virginia depends upon.
We are so grateful for the support you provide us to implement our mission in innovative and impactful ways. As you read this issue of Community Link and get a glimpse of the stories that describe how our donors impact our mission, I hope you will realize how grateful we are at the College for all you do to support us. We do what we do for the thousands of graduates who have created a better life for themselves because of what they have done here. At Blue Ridge Community College that is our mission and that is our passion!
Community Link is an official publication of the Blue Ridge Community College Educational Foundation. It is distributed to friends in the Shenandoah Valley, as well as BRCC faculty and staff, and is published quarterly by the Development Office, Blue Ridge Community College, Weyers Cave, VA 24486.
