Heard about the VASA Application?
It is Virginia’s alternative financial aid application that students who are ineligible to file a federal FAFSA can complete to apply for state financial aid.
By completing the VASA application…
- You will be taking an important step toward entering college financially prepared
- You will be considered for state need-based financial aid
- You will be considered for some public institution awards reserved for Virginia Residents.
Many students who are ineligible to file the FAFSA because of immigration or citizenship status may apply for state financial aid. If you qualify for Virginia residency based on the tuition equity provision, you can now complete the VASA to be considered for state financial aid!
While students who complete the VASA will not be eligible for federal grants, loans, or work-study, they can be considered for state grants and demonstrate need for BRCC scholarships. For more information, please visit the VASA site.
