Workforce training programs vary in length, cost, and requirements. As a result, withdrawal and refund deadlines differ by course type.
Standard Workforce Training Courses
Standard workforce training courses include community education classes, professional development courses, seminars, technology training, personal enrichment courses, and other non-FastForward offerings.
Students may receive a full refund if they cancel their registration at least two calendar days before the class start date.
To be eligible for a refund, students must:
- Submit a written withdrawal request to info@brcc.edu by the deadline.
- Return any BRCC-issued textbooks, tools, equipment, supplies, or instructional materials, if applicable.
Cancellations made fewer than two calendar days before the class begins are not eligible for a refund, except through BRCC’s Tuition Refund Appeal process.
FastForward Courses
Students enrolled in a FastForward-funded course may withdraw and receive a full refund through the second calendar day after the official course start date.
To be eligible for a refund, students must:
- Submit a written withdrawal request to info@brcc.edu by the deadline.
- Return any BRCC-issued textbooks, tools, equipment, supplies, or instructional materials, if applicable.
Students who remain enrolled beyond the second calendar day after the course begins:
- Are considered fully enrolled in the FastForward program.
- Are not eligible for an automatic refund.
- May be responsible for additional Workforce Credential Grant costs as required by program regulations.
Students may request reconsideration through the Tuition Refund Appeal process.
Emergency or Extenuating Circumstances
Students experiencing documented emergencies, such as medical issues, military deployment, death of an immediate family member, or other circumstances beyond their control, may request consideration through the BRCC Tuition Refund Appeal process.
Course Cancellations
If BRCC cancels a course, all registered students will receive a full refund, regardless of course type or withdrawal deadlines.
Course Transfers
Instead of a refund, students may request a transfer to another section of the same course or to an approved workforce training program of equal value. Transfer requests must be submitted in writing to the Dean of Workforce Solutions and are subject to availability and approval.
