This year’s ambassadors bring a wide range of interests, experiences, and aspirations to the role. Patient Chikuru, a Liberal Arts student who hopes to pursue law, is passionate about helping others feel connected. “I believe in creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels heard, valued, and inspired to explore their potential.”

Veteran and Aviation Maintenance Technology student Ashlee Simpson looks forward to serving fellow students while pursuing her Airframe and Powerplant certification. “I am excited to serve as a Student Ambassador, meet new people, and help make BRCC a welcoming place where students feel supported and connected.”

Caine Teter, a Shenandoah Valley native, enjoys staying active through hunting, fishing, and playing baseball for a local county league team. He is a sophomore Marketing major and plans to continue his education at Virginia Tech. His ultimate goal is to work in a collegiate or professional sports organization.

With a passion for hospitality and a goal of traveling the world, Tahjanae Miller plans to continue her studies at James Madison University after she graduates from BRCC next spring. She currently serves as a work-study student in the Welcome Center (located in the Houff Student Center) and helps visitors and fellow students every day. Tahjanae offers “if you ever need help, you know where to find me!”

Sophomore Trinity Gray hopes to one day become a pediatric oncologist and is eager to deepen her involvement on campus. “I am so excited and honored to be a BRCC Ambassador and cannot wait for more opportunities and events this year!”
