Workforce Training Financial Assistance
Workforce & Continuing Education students take courses that do not offer college credit and are not eligible for federal financial aid. Several options may help cover the cost of short-term career-focused training.
Workforce Credential Grant (WCG)
The Commonwealth of Virginia is offsetting the tuition – by 66% - of certain high-demand credential programs at BRCC through the Workforce Credential Grant (WCG). Students pay 1/3 of the tuition when they register, and the remainder is paid by the State when the student finishes the course and obtains the credential.
Workforce Training Financial Aid
Blue Ridge Community College now has funding to provide financial assistance to students enrolled in certain noncredit programs leading to industry-recognized credentials. Awards are based on financial need and other factors.
Dislocated Worker Program
Have you been laid off or received a layoff notice? BRCC can help you earn a workforce credential or get on-the-job training – leading to a new career!
Noncredit Student Loans
Several lenders offer loan options to noncredit students.
Valley Workforce Centers
