Martha Saunders: Minding Her Own Bees Wax

Artist-in-Residence, March 21 & 22
Painter Martha Saunders will be the artist-in-residence at BRCC on March 21 and 22, from 9 am to 5 pm, in the Fine Arts Center lobby. Attendees may watch her create her encaustic paintings using bees wax as a medium.
She will present a lecture about her artwork on Monday, March 21 at 3 pm in the Fine Arts Center theater, room V135.
For over 30 years, Saunders has been exhibiting her work throughout the East Coast, including solo shows at the University of South Carolina and Mary Baldwin College. Her work has been featured in a number of key group exhibitions, juried by such prominent art individuals as Faith Ringgold, Donald Kuspit, and Dore Ashton.
The event, sponsored by the Cultural Affairs Committee, is free and open to the public.
