P.L.A.T.O.® Loan
Program
The P.L.A.T.O.®
program is a private, credit based loan program offered through commercial
lending institutions to students enrolled in accredited universities and
colleges. The loans have a number of advantages including
competitive interest rates and low monthly payments. Borrowers or
their co-signers are required to have a reasonably good credit
standing.

Veterans Administration
This program is approved for assistance under the Veteran's Assistance
Job Training Program. Veterans should contact the Veteran's
Administration at 1-800-827-1000 to confirm their eligibility for
benefits and an estimate of the amount of assistance they might receive. If eligible, veterans should fill out an Application
for Veteran's Benefits (Form 22-1990) in BRCC's Admissions and Records
Office in the Houff Student Center.
Typically, approximately
one half of the tuition cost will be reimbursed by the V.A. Veterans
are responsible for the tuition payment upon enrolling in the
course. After the course is completed, veterans will be reimbursed
according to their level of eligibility.
Virginia Workforce Centers
Displaced workers and those
with very low incomes may also be eligible for training assistance
benefits provided through a regional Workforce Center.

Cargill Meat Solutions Truck Driver Training Scholarship
Up to 2 scholarships of $3,100 will
be awarded each year for students who are enrolled full-time in
BRCC’s CDS program. See

BRCC has been awarded a Department of
Labor Training Grant which includes funds for $500 Scholarships.
