
CDL (Commercial Driver's License) Training
For all training below, you must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid CDL learner’s permit (available from the DMV); be able to obtain a DOT physical, and pass a DOT required drug screen. DOT language enforcement rule: You must be able to read English, converse with the public, understand highway signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports or records. We assist you with all aspects of your training. At the completion of the course, we schedule your final testing with the DMV and help you practice with the equipment with which you are most familiar.

CDL Class A Training
Credit Program
Earn a Class A CDL and 12 college credits (TRK 101, 102, 103)
Working with area trucking firms, this is an intensive program of classroom lab, and over-the-road training to equip potential drivers with the skills they need to earn a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and become successful. Learn how to handle a rig safely, maintain a vehicle, protect cargo, and take pride in a job well done. Students get hands-on experience while training, including backing into a variety of dock situations. Each student, while training at BRCC, receives up to 1500 miles of personal driving time. We provide training with standard road tractors pulling 48-foot and 53-foot van trailers, plus flatbed trailers.

CDL Class A Customized Training – Individually Scheduled
Non-Credit
We offer a part-time, flexible schedule for beginning students ($3,200/program) as well as drivers with prior experience who may need a skills refresher course ($500/day). Customized courses are arranged at times convenient to your schedule and may be held during the evenings and/or on Saturdays. See description above for more details about the training and equipment.
CDL Class B Training – 4-Day Program – Individually Scheduled
Non-Credit
Learn to drive a Class B straight truck in only four days! Students get hands-on experience, including backing into a variety of dock situations. $1,200
CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement (Bus Driving)
Non-Credit
5 Day Program – Individually Scheduled
Earn your Class B license with Passenger Endorsement so you can get on the road to a career as a bus driver. $1,500
