The Shenandoah Valley Small Business Development Center
(SV SBDC) can help you start, manage, and grow your business.
The SV SBDC has offices in Weyers Cave and Harrisonburg and is part
of a 29-center network contributing to the growth and
development of Virginia’s economy by providing management,
technical, and other assistance to small businesses.
SV SBDC is
a partnership program between Blue Ridge
Community College, James Madison
University,
George Mason University-Mason Enterprise Center, and the
Small Business Administration.
The SBDC serves the experienced business
owner who wants to expand a business, solve a variety of
business problems, resolve personnel issues, develop new ideas,
plan strategically, enter new markets or access expansion
capital.
The SBDC also serves the new
entrepreneur who wants to start his/her own business.
Topics frequently discussed include the
writing of a business plan, preparing a cash flow analysis,
basics of starting a new business, what legal entity to choose
for your business, financing options, marketing strategies and
more.
The Center serves the following counties
and the cities located within those counties: Alleghany,
Augusta, Bath, Highland, Page, Rockbridge, Rockingham and
Shenandoah.
