Certified Tree Worker/Climber Specialist

This course has been designed to help tree care professionals prepare for the Certified Tree Worker/Climber Specialist exam administered by the International Society of Arboriculture. The course is consistent with the ISA's Tree Climbers Guide (1998). This course is also beneficial to tree care professionals wishing to expand their knowledge and acquire 15 C.E.U. credits toward maintaining their certification.  For more information visit the course web site at www1.brcc.edu/murray.  In addition to the traditional classroom sessions, the entire course (notes, practice quizzes, PowerPoint presentations, and video clips) will also be available electronically via the Web. Required text, not included in fee, is Tree Climbers' Guide. Lilly, S.J. 1998, which is available through the International Society of Arboriculture. The CTW/Climber Specialist Exam will be offered in Staunton on October 29. Registration for the exam must be made through the ISA.  To be eligible to take the exam, you must have at least 18 months experience and proof of training in CPR, First Aid, and Aerial Rescue.
