MICROSOFT OFFICE COURSES

The Microsoft Office courses will introduce students to the basic features of the individual programs, as well as the advanced functions needed to become more efficient. These courses are taught in the classroom and online, and will also prepare you to take the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) exams.

Have you used Office 2003 in the past?  If you’re already comfortable with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint or Access but a bit wary about the changes in the 2007 version of the software, these three hour sessions will help you become comfortable with those changes, or help you decide if you should make the change!  Each includes a QuickSource guide to the 2007 version of the software.

MicroSoft Office 2003 Courses

MS Word 2003 Basic

Learn the basics of text creation, editing, formatting, and enhancements, setting tabs, as well as paragraph and page formatting.  Learn how to format text, paragraphs, documents and how to create and format tables in Word.  Course includes text with CD and take-home examples.

MS Word 2003 Intermediate

This course will expand your knowledge and increase word processing productivity.  You will learn how to illustrate a document with graphics and how to build a document using Themes.  You will also learn how to merge Word documents, how to work with multi-page documents and use and create styles and templates.  Course includes text with CD and take-home examples.

MS Word 2003 Advanced

In this course, learn how to work with References: build a Table of Contents or Figures, Index, Footnote, Caption, and Cross-references; how to integrate Word with other MS Office applications, and build forms.  Further, you’ll explore advanced graphics, how to share and secure content, and how to customize Word for your most efficient use of this application.  Fee includes text with CD and take-home examples.

MS Excel - Level 1

This course will introduce students to the basic spreadsheet functions. You will learn how to create spreadsheets, format and enhance them, insert formulas and functions, create and enhance charts, use Excel’s database functions and more!

MS Excel - Level 2

Expand your knowledge of spreadsheets and charts. After a brief review of formulas and functions, you will learn how to create custom lists, work with absolute formulas and advanced functions including conditional formatting, IF statements, Lookup and Reference, Pivot tables, linking and embedding, macros, and more.

MS Excel 2003 Basic

This course will introduce students to the basic spreadsheet functions.  You will learn how to create spreadsheets, work with formulas and functions, format a worksheet, work with charts, and analyze data using formulas.  Fee includes text with CD and take-home examples.

MS Excel 2003 Intermediate

MS Office For The Sales Person

MS Access - Level 1

This course will cover four primary aspects of this relational database package (Tables, Queries, Forms, and Reports). You will learn how to set up a database, enter data accurately, ask “intelligent” questions, find accurate answers and print professional-looking output.

MS Access - Level 2

Learn to get the most out of your data! This course will teach you how to link multiple-table and advanced queries, linking databases with other applications and importing and exporting files, adding calculations, graphics and shortcut “buttons” to forms and reports. This course is designed for those who are already comfortable with the basic features of Access.

MS Access - Level 3

Get the skills you need to make Access do what you want it to do! This course will help you understand many-to-many relationships and how to use subforms and subreports to control and display data.
