Blue Ridge Community College provides Nelnet Business Solutions for paying your tuition in monthly installments. The earlier you enroll, the more payment options you have.

  2. Go to VCCS Student Information System
  3. Go to Student Center
  4. Go to Account Inquiry
  5. Click on “APPLY NELNET PAYMENT PLAN”

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to register for classes before I can sign up for the plan?
Yes, registering for classes prior to signing up for the tuition payment plan is the only way Nelnet can accurately determine the amount you owe for tuition and fees.

When will my down payment be taken?
Down payments are withdrawn for the specified account within 24 hours of submitting your agreement.

When will payments be deducted from my account?
Payments are deducted on the 20th of the specified month(s). 

What forms of payment can be used for the Tuition Payment Plan?
Nelnet currently accepts payment from your checking account, savings account and some credit cards – American Express, Discover and MasterCard only. 

I only have a Visa credit card/debit card.  Can I still enroll in a Tuition Payment Plan?
No.  Nelnet does not accept Visa.

I am adding or dropping classes.  Will my payment plan agreement automatically be adjusted?
Yes.  Periodically, a process will be run to update your Nelnet contract balance to match your current SIS tuition and fee balance.  The balance adjustment will affect the amount of your payment installment.

How do I terminate my Nelnet contract?
Students who wish to terminate their contract must call the Student Financials Office at 540-452-2296.  To take effect before a scheduled payment date, requests must be received
4 business days before the scheduled payment date. 

I have dropped my classes, when do I get my refund?
Refunds are issues approximately 75 days after the last day to drop with a refund.

How do I enroll in the Nelnet Tuition Payment Plan?
Once you have logged into MY BRCC and registered for classes, you can apply for the Nelnet Tuition Payment Plan through your VCCS SIS ‘Student Center’ page by clicking on the ‘Apply Nelnet Payment Plan’ link.  Access is also available through the ‘Account Inquiry’ link.  Enrollment in the payment plan may be accomplished only through your Student Account.  You can log onto the VCCS Student Information System at https://br.my.vccs.edu/jsp/home.jsp.
