Blue Ridge Tech Prep Consortium

Who we are:

Public Schools, technical centers, community colleges, employers and parents working together to provide students a future filled with opportunity.

What we do:

Tech Prep offers a coordinated sequence of instruction, jointly designed by secondary and postsecondary instructors, to link high school and college or other post secondary education. Because the program links high school and college studies, Tech Prep students can earn college credit for work they complete in high school. Completing a Tech Prep program generally means earning a two-year associate degree at a community college or technical college, and that can be a step toward a four year college degree as well as expanded career opportunities.

Are you looking for:

  • Classes that are not just bookwork, theory and lecture?
  • Studies that will allow you to gain practical experience solving problems?
  • College Credit for work you complete in high school?
  • A career in a high skill, high wage career field?

If so, check out the Tech Prep options at your school!
