Environmental Awareness Club
Mission Statement
The Environmental Awareness Club aims to help students connect with
the natural environment and understand the importance of ecology to all
areas of life, whether economic, political, emotional or spiritual.
While exploring the natural beauty of our local area, we seek to raise
awareness of ecological values and promote a sustainable lifestyle to
preserve the earth’s legacy for future generations.
Membership
Any student enrolled at BRCC, whether full- or part-time, is eligible
to join.
Activities
- One service project per term, usually a river cleanup or
planting event.
- Monthly hikes and nature walks
- Regular meetings
- Occasional events including film screenings, speakers and
debates on environmental concerns
Meetings
Every two weeks during the BRCC designated student activities period.
