Transfer AGREEMENTS
Types of Agreements
An articulation agreement is a formal
statement describing how specific courses within a degree will
transfer into a senior institution. Articulation does not
guarantee admission to a senior institution.
Guaranteed Admission Agreements
Guaranteed Admission Agreements further
facilitate transfer to four year schools. Students will be
guaranteed entrance to specific institutions providing they meet
the criteria as established in each institution's agreement for:
- minimum grade criteria (GPA);
- prerequisite course requirements in
specific programs; and
- proper application for admission
procedures
Blue Ridge Community College has
Guaranteed Admission Agreements with a
number of four-year Virginia colleges and universities. A Guaranteed
Admission Agreements: Policies and Procedures guide is available in PDF format that compares
basic criteria for these schools.
Admission to a college or university does
not guarantee admission to a program, major, minor, or
concentration. Students should work closely with their
transfer institution of choice while working towards the A.A.&S.
degree.
