Group Advising & Registration Sessions (GARS)

Group Advising & Registration Sessions are for recent high school graduates being admitted to BRCC for the first time in the fall semester.

Sessions are held in local high schools for current high school seniors and at BRCC for students who miss the session in their high school or have graduated within the past year.

Who Should Attend BRCC GARS?

If you’ve received an acceptance Email from us, are planning to earn a certificate, diploma, or degree, and have taken your placement tests (if required), you’re ready to sign up for a Group Advising and Registration Session (GARS).

Students in Aviation Maintenance or Automotive Technology should not attend GARS.  Call Nicole Stephens at (540) 453-2523 for your registration information.

At BRCC GARS you will:

  • get academic advising
  • learn how to use the Student Information System
  • register for Fall classes

No Show Policy

Students who miss their registered session and don’t call in advance to cancel will have to delay until June 1 to meet with an academic advisor to secure their fall semester classes.
