Planning Your Schedule

Pre-registration Resources

Curriculum

The BRCC Catalog lists the required and elective courses that you will need to take to earn your degree, certificate, or diploma.  Curriculum sheets are also available in the counseling center.

Degree Progress Report

The first part of this report lists the classes you've taken or are currently taking.  The second part will display courses you still need to take for graduation.

  1. Log into MYBRCC
  2. Click on VCCS SIS89: Student Information System (SIS) >Self Service>Student Center>Degree Progress Report

Class Schedule

  1. Use the SIS Class Search feature to look for the classes you need to complete your program.  Use the "show open classes only" option and add additional search criteria if needed.
  2. Click on the section number in SIS to view the course description and check for prerequisite courses.
  3. If you are planning to transfer to a four-year school, check the appropriate transfer advising guide to make sure your classes will transfer.
  4. Record the 5 digit class # of the courses you've selected in preparation for Web registration.  You may want to pick alternate classes in case any of your classes are full at the time you register.
