"How many Phi Theta Kappan's does it take to put a cap on right!"

Natalie Almarode
Has made the
All-US National Second Team
Natalie is the president of BRCC SIFE,
a member of Phi Theta Kappa,
and a top accounting student

"I have worked with Natalie closely over the3 past two years and know how much she deserves this honor for her commitment to BRCC and among other things the BRCC SIFE Team. Natalie has volunteered an extensive amount of time in Mississippi for hurricane recovery work, she was instrumental in the opening of the BRCC Coffee Corner and in getting the cafe E2 certified with the Sate for Virginia, as well as numerous other projects with SIFE. This is on top of four children, a full time job, and an outstanding GPA."
Rebecca M. Evans, Assistant Professor Accounting

April 20, 2007

We co-sponsored with Spectrum

Maria Pucsinszki's presentation about her country,
Hungary.

First, we tasted the real Hungarian Goulash,

than we learned about Hungarian people
(Did you know, that the flat screen TV was invented by a Hungarian scientist in the sixties?)

Finally, we listened Hungarian traditional music
and learned some steps to dance!

The goal of Alpha Xi Xi is to be a student run organization with pro-active and interactive members who work together to make all activities a success.

"The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence."

Alpha Xi Xi strives for its members to participate to the fullest of their ability.

Without full participation from all members, Phi Theta Kappa would not and could not run at its maximum potential!!!!
