Mission Statement
The Office of the President of Blue Ridge Community College
provides leadership and support to the college community to ensure the college is
providing high quality post secondary education and service to meet the growing and
changing needs of the citizens of Augusta County, Rockingham County, Highland County, and
the Cities of Waynesboro, Harrisonburg, and Staunton, Virginia.
The Office of the President coordinates its work with the
BRCC Local Board, an eleven member
advisory board, appointed by the local political jurisdictions to ensure that the college
is responsive to the needs of the local community and works consistently within the
policies of the Virginia Community College
System.
Each year the BRCC Local Board approves annual goals for the president consistent with the mission,
vision, values
and strategic
directions of the institution.
A twenty-five member Educational Foundation board ensures an effective friend building
and fund-raising program is in place for the college to address important needs that
otherwise cannot be addressed through the resources of the Commonwealth.
