The Scholarship Bulletin Board offers students the latest information
on available scholarships. This page is updated frequently with new
scholarship offers and programs. Every scholarship ad includes
application requirements, locations of applications, and specific
deadlines. Scholarships from private sources outside of Blue Ridge
Community College provide an additional source of financial assistance
for students. Students should check also with their guidance office,
parents’ place of employment, church, and local service organizations
for outside scholarship opportunities. The College is pleased to make
students aware of the following scholarship opportunities that they may
then investigate themselves. If you have any questions please let us
know.
AES Engineering is pleased to be able to continue offering
scholarships to motivated students to help in the furthering of their
education.
Scholarship Criteria
Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be
the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that
reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis
of character, as determined by evaluating the essays that are submitted.
Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide
spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school
seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational
facility.
You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.
How to Apply
Students must submit an essay of no more than 1000 words in answer to
one of the two questions below:
- What do you consider to be the single most important problem
that is facing society today? Why?
- Why are you a good candidate to receive this award?
Amount of award: $500.00

students.

clubs and other interested groups. Upon returning home, scholars also
share with Rotarians and others their personal experiences of studying
in their host countries.

candidates must be sponsored by a District 7570 Rotary Club. For a

on the yellow navigation toolbar. The local club may be the one at the
permanent residence or a club where the student is enrolled for study.
Then, contact the Club President and get started with the application
