Reviewing your Financial Aid Awards On-Line

If you would like to review your financial aid awards on the web, log on to the My BRCC portal and select the SIS menu option. Once on the site follow the instructions below:

  1. Click on Self Service
  2. Click on Student Center
  3. Click on View Financial Aid
  4. Select the appropriate aid year. For example 2009 represents the 2008-2009 award year.

Your awards for the academic year should now appear. Notice that your awards for each term are provided.

Very Important

The award information provided for the 2008 fall semester is a projection based upon the student enrolling full-time (12 credit hours) for the fall term. If you are planning to enroll on a less than full-time basis you may want to use the following formula to determine an estimate of your awards for spring. Please note that this formula is not exact in all cases but should give you a good idea of your prorated awards. You may also want to review your Financial Aid Award Notification Letter for more information.

  • If you enroll for 9-11 credit hours (considered ¾-time) you would normally take 75% of the full-time award listed for the spring term
  • If you enroll for 6-8 credit hours (considered ½-time) you would normally take 50% of the full-time award listed for the spring term.
  • If you are taking 1-5 credits, please contact the Financial Aid Office to determine if you qualify for any assistance. (Most financial aid programs require students to be enrolled for a minimum of 6 credits hours to qualify)
