Adults-$10; Students free
This traditional Appalachian music performance features Wayne Henderson’s lightning fast “pinch picking” on guitar, with Helen White’s backup guitar, fiddling, and singing. Sponsored through the National Council for Traditional Arts, the Smithsonian Institute, and Office of Arts America, Wayne has toured broadly in the U.S., Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. An award-winning singer, multi-instrumentalist, and composer, Helen White is founder and regional coordinator of the Junior Appalachian Musicians program which introduces Appalachian children to their musical heritage.

This performance is partially supported by funding from the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
