Adjunct Faculty - CNC/Machining
Need experienced CNC operator or CNC instructor to provide instruction in a newly developed program and lab designed to prepare students for entry level machining positions.
- Teaching 20 hours per week (day, evening, and/or weekends)
- Assists in program and curriculum development and assessment
- Assists with student recruitment
Requires high competence and professional exposure to the following: CNC mills & lathes, manual machining, multi-axis and knowledge of plasma cutting. Strong knowledge of the following subject areas: CNC Safety, Shop Math, Metrology, Blueprint Reading, GD&T Quality Control, CNC programming, CNC Tooling, CNC Machine Setup, and CNC Operation. Must possess at least five years of relevant industry experience (CNC machining/programming using MasterCAM or a related software); experience in G-Code and conversational programming is a must with CNC programming certification preferred; ability to teach in classroom based and hand-on environments; at least 3 years of previous CNC teaching/training experience desired.
Require demonstrated ability to work successfully with people from diverse backgrounds along with a demonstrated commitment to exceptional and professional customer service. Sufficient technology skills are needed in order to work productively in an educational environment. A valid driver’s license is also required to travel throughout the service area for recruitment purposes.
