Online Library Resources

You will find a wealth of information on BRCC's Houff Library Website.  Some of their resources* that online students find especially useful include:

  • LRC Live - 24/7 real time online help with a reference librarian (trust us, they can find things no one else can)
  • Find full-text articles, through 200+ online databases.
  • Research guides by subject
  • Online dictionaries, thesauruses, encyclopedias and books
  • Style guides and tools for formatting your citations properly
  • Helpful tutorials, handouts, and guides to avoid plagiarism

You can also request books and articles that the library doesn't own through their free interlibrary loan service.

Take a minute to visit the library's site to see what's there.  It will be time well spent when you find yourself trying to finish a paper in the wee hours of the morning.

Next, how to purchase your textbooks.

*Some resources and databases are limited to BRCC students and will prompt you for a username and password to access from off-campus.  Just use your My BRCC username and password.
