As such, she tries to stay up on workforce development needs, innovative training approaches, particularly for industry, and state and federal policy initiatives in the  workforce development area.  The links to the left are useful in this effort.

...coordinated the College's nationally- recognized workforce development partnership with INVISTA™ (formerly a fibers plant of E. I. duPont de Nemours) in Waynesboro, Virginia. ...is interested in a variety of research areas for community colleges, including the ways in which colleges use new research.

...recently participated in the VCCS' international exchange program for faculty by hosting and then visiting Dr. Sushil Haldar, an economist from Jadavpur University in Kolkata, India.  

...is an avid gardener and reader (beyond books for school), especially of mysteries (Christie, Evanovich, Perry, and Peters are some favorites).  

...is married and lives in Harrisonburg, Virginia, has children attending James Madison University and Blue Ridge Community College, but that's not the subject here!
