Motorcycle Rider Skills Training
Beginning Rider Course
Learn entry-level skills such as effective turning, braking and obstacle avoidance, plus develop safe street-riding strategies. Successful completion of this course waives the Virginia DMV knowledge exam and road test, with the completion certificate serving as a 30-day Virginia two-wheeled motorcycle license, subject to DMV age requirements. Visit the Virginia DMV website for additional information. Licensing requirements vary; please check with your state of legal residence. Minimum age is 16. If you are under age 19, you must complete the auto driver education classroom portion before taking this class. Written parental permission is required for students under age 18. This Virginia Rider Training Program course is co-sponsored by BRCC Continuing Education and the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles.
Meets: One Saturday and Sunday (dates below), 7:30 am-5 pm; BRCC Room A106
Fee: $125. Motorcycles and helmets provided.

Coming in June! BRCC also offers a three-hour Jump Start for novices who need to learn how to operate a clutch before taking a Beginning Rider Course, AND a one-day Experienced Rider Course for advanced riders who want to test themselves - and their bikes - through skill-building range exercises.
