According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, Medical Secretary jobs are expected to grow 41% from 2012-2022 in northwest Virginia, much faster than average.
The Blue Ridge Community College Continuing Education Medical Office Assisting Program is validated by the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). The three courses provide training required to prepare for the National Certified Medical Office Assistant (NCMOA) national examination given by NCCT.
Total cost of the program (three courses, books, exam fee) is $2,118. The student is solely responsible for arranging/paying for NCCT testing and purchasing textbooks.
