VCCS USERNAME
Your VCCS Username is used to access My BRCC, Blackboard, Library
Resources (VIVA), and Webmail.
Find Your VCCS Username
- In a web browser, go to
My BRCC at https://br.my.vccs.edu/
- Click "Look up your username".
- Enter your first and last names as they appear on
official college documents (grade reports, etc), enter your birthdate in the format shown, and enter your Emplid.
If you don't know your Emplid, click "Lookup my Emplid"
for an alternate form using your social security number.
- Click "Search". Your username will appear
on the right, and your Emplid will also appear on the right
if you chose to lookup your Emplid. If you haven't
already done so, please write down your Emplid and keep it
in a safe place.
Beginning 9/27/05, students, faculty, and staff logging into SIS, Blackboard,
Student Email or MY BRCC with
default or all numeric passwords will be required to change them.
New Password Requirements
New passwords must meet all the following requirements:
- have at least seven characters but not more than ten
- contain at least one UPPERCASE letter
- contain at least one lowercase letter
- contain at least one number (0-9)
Changing Your Password
If your password is currently an all numeric password, you
will be forwarded automatically to the Change Password
screen when attempting to log on to any VCCS application.
You can also change your password at any time by selecting the "Change My Password"
menu item after logging in to the My BRCC portal.
Change Password Interface
The Change Password screen will require two steps:
Step 1 : Set a New Password
You will be prompted to enter your current and new passwords.
Step 2: Set a Security Question
You will be asked to select and provide an answer to one of
the following security questions:
- In what city were you born?
- What is the name of your favorite pet?
- What is the model of your favorite car?
- What is your mother's maiden name?
- What is the high school you last attended?
This new feature will allow you to reset your passwords
