Security AWARENESS TRAINING

Security Awareness Training is mandated by the Commonwealth of Virginia.  All new employees are to receive training within 30 days of hiring and annually thereafter.  BRCC utilizes an online training program called Managed Ongoing Awareness Tools (MOAT).

Purpose

The purpose of the training is to protect the Commonwealth's IT resources from external and internal threats by training employees how to recognize security threats. 

MOAT Training Program

Users may choose to complete training in one session (1 - 2 hours) or in modules.  The online program will track your progress and will provide a certificate upon completion.   

Employees will be notified by email when their MOAT training has been scheduled.  Access instructions and a MOAT login ID and password will be provided at that time.

MOAT Requirements

Browser - Users will need use Internet Explorer to access MOAT. 

Pop Up Blockers - All pop up blockers must be disabled before accessing the program.
