BRCC requires Microsoft FrontPage for publishing.
Accessing Your Site
From Administrative Computers
- Open FrontPage
- File>Open Site
- Type your assigned Web URL in the web name field.
example:
http://www1.brcc.edu/doe
- Click Open
Your Web URL will appear at the top of the FP window. After
you have accessed your Web the first time on your computer, your
Web should open automatically whenever you open FrontPage.
Off-Campus Access
- Establish an Internet connection.
- Open FrontPage
- File>Open Site
- Type your assigned Web URL in the web name field.
example:
http://www1.brcc.edu/doe
- Click Open.
- You will be prompted to login.
- Use your academic network username and
password as follows:
username: acdbrcc\lastname+firstinitial (acdbrcc\doej)
password: ******
domain: leave blank
Directory Structure
When your site is open, you will be working within the
directory structure on the Web server and can create, delete,
move, save, and rename files and folders directly in FrontPage.
- View>Folders to see your directory structure.
- Your homepage should be named “default.htm”
- Double-click a page to open in editing view.
If you prefer to create your site locally and publish, you
can use the publish feature in FrontPage. (FTP is not an
available option at BRCC.)
