BRCC Networks

The college has two independent networks, administrative and academic, for security purposes.  A general overview is given below.  Select a link at the left for detailed information and access instructions. 

Administrative

The administrative network is available to employees by logging into with a network account from administrative offices.  The college provides a home directory for each account for document storage.  Administrative network accounts are also used for accessing email and the Intranet off-campus.

Access to the administrative network from the academic network requires remote access.

Academic

The academic network is available in the labs and classrooms with presentation stations.  Faculty may request an academic account and drive in which to place course materials that can be accessed by students in labs.  Academic drives can be accessed from administrative workstations by mapping a drive.
