Ceramics:  Formulating Glazes & Kiln Loading*  NEW

Now that you’ve had several advanced courses, join this class to unravel the mysteries of formulating glazes and loading the kiln.  Phill Ungar will review gram scale measurements, hold demonstrations on accurate kiln loading, and share techniques that will save time and enhance your focus. Bring your own paper mask to class each week.

EDU 114: Driver Task Analysis (3 CR)

Introduces the “driver task” as related to the highway transportation system and factors that influence performance ability. Prepares students so they may be eligible to take certification exams for driving school instructors in both public and private schools. Prerequisite: Must be eligible for ENG 03 and 05 or ESL 13.  56489;  May 7-31, 5-9 pm;  3 credits. (Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours.  Total of 4 hours per week. This is a hybrid class so may not meet on all dates. Meeting dates will be determined the first night of class.  Instructor: Amy Wheeler.  Class meets at Harrisonburg High School.

EDU 214: Instructional Principles of Driver Education (3 CR)

Analyzes rules and regulations that govern the conduct of Driver Education programs with special emphasis on organization and administration. Includes applications for the classroom, driving range and on the street.  Prepares students so they may be eligible to take the state certification exam in driver education.  Prerequisite: EDU 114
3 credits. (Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours.  Total of 4 hours per week. Instructor: Amy Wheeler. Class meets from June 4-21 at  Harrisonburg High School.
