General Admission

To qualify for general admission to the college, you must have a high school diploma, its equivalent, OR be 18 years of age or older, and be able to benefit from a program of study at BRCC.

You can also pick up a printed application from the Information Desk on campus or from the offices in our two centers.

Degree-Seeking Students

If you plan to work towards a degree, diploma, or certificate you must also be admitted to a curriculum.  In addition to the completed admission form, degree-seeking (curriculum) students must demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing and mathematics in one of the following ways

  • take the BRCC College Preparedness Test (CPT) in mathematics and/or English, or
  • submit Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) scores of 530/Critical Reading, 530/Writing and 520/Math, or
  • submit ACT scores of 22/Verbal and 22/Quantitative, or
  • submit transcripts showing successful completion of developmental or college-level English or mathematics classes

Additional qualifications may be required for admission to a specific program, such as Nursing or Veterinary Technology.

Non-Degree-Seeking Students

If you are planning to take classes without completing a certificate, diploma, or degree program, you will need to complete the application for admission and fulfill any prerequisite requirements as outlined in the College Catalog.
