Crime Incident Report - Summer 2005Date: 8/2/05 DescriptionA College employee received information that a private party was in possession of tools that were identified as BRCC property. The Augusta County Sheriff's Office was contacted. They contacted the person who turned over to a Deputy, tools that the person admitted stealing from the College. The Deputy returned the tools to the College and stated that he will be serving the individual with a felony theft warrant. Date: 8/9/05 DescriptionEmployee reported someone had backed into her car and dented the front bumper causing $900 in damage. Date: 10/19/05 DescriptionOn October 19, 2005 at approximately 4:30 p.m., the driver of a BMW 528, silver-gray in color, with temporary Maryland license tags of 29212R (due to expire 10/27/05) reported that 200 CD's had been stolen from the front rider's side floorboard while parked in the student lot across from Armstrong Hall. The vehicle was located on the second row back from the upper entrance (adjacent I81). There was no visable sign of forced entry. The driver reported that the rider's side rear window was defective allowing the window to slide downwards by exerting pressure against the window. He did not state whether or not he found the window open. The driver did report parking in the lot at 3:30 p.m, going to class, and then returning at approximately 4:15 p.m. He also stated he got in the car and left BRCC only to realize that his CD's were missing. At that point he returned to BRCC to report the incident.
