Student Development (SDV) Courses
A one-credit student development course is required for graduation in all degree and diploma programs and in some certificate programs. New students are strongly encouraged to take the student develoment course within two semesters of enrollment at the College. The purpose of student development courses is to help new students be successful in college and to acquire practical information about career exploration, college resources and services, study skills, time and stress management, and educational opportunities. Students who have completed a two-year or four-year academic degree program or the equivalent of 60 credit hours or more at another regionally accredited college or university may request a waiver of the required student development course.
