The "Securing Our Future" Endowment Campaign
 Blue Ridge Community
College is embarking on its most ambitious
fundraising campaign ever, the "Securing Our
Future" Endowment Campaign.
The campaign,
now in its initial stages, centers
on four major initiatives:
student
scholarships, technology, faculty development,
and workforce services.
We
are pleased to announce that Congressman
Bob Goodlatte has agreed to serve as the
Honorary Campaign
Chair, and that Dr. Bruce
Bowman - BRCC graduate and community leader
- will serve as Campaign Chair. Edward S.
"Chip" Yates will serve as Vice-Chair for the Campaign.
Blue Ridge Community College celebrates its
39th anniversary
this year. During its history, the College has impacted the lives of more
than 87,500 individuals and presently serves more than 9,500 citizens
annually. This fall, BRCC achieved the largest enrollment in its history –
2,275 full-time-equivalent credit students.
Blue Ridge Community College is the largest producer of
Nursing graduates and
Veterinary Technology graduates
for our service region and is the largest source of
transfer
students for James Madison University.
This endowment campaign is
about students and the opportunities Blue Ridge
Community College will provide to ensure
economic strength for all. It is about
spurring student aspirations, utilizing new
technology, encouraging exceptional instruction,
and developing a skilled workforce for our
region. More than anything else, it is
about our community's future.
